A Protective Bubble around the Most Aggressive Driver

In this art I am trying to showing you what I presently regard as my most important seed in transforming anger and rage into personal transformation.

Sample from the book:

The key to reducing road rage is both simple and difficult. The simple part involves imagining a protective bubble around the most aggressive drivers and wishing them safe travels. The difficult part arises when you think, “How can I possibly wish safety for someone who just recklessly cut me off?” It is a challenging concept, but this mental shift can be surprisingly effective.

Let us be honest, you are probably screaming at me now: “How the heck do you expect me to send a protective bubble to the jerk who just cut me off and endangered my whole family?”

The real magic unfolds when we envision a protective bubble around reckless drivers. By doing so, we not only safeguard everyone who will encounter that driver, but more importantly, we undergo a transformation ourselves

A Dad Angry at a Reckless Driver

I tried to capture a childhood road rage incident and share the insights i’ve learned.

Here is a sample from the book:

DOES THIS ROAD RAGE BELONG TO ME?

When I was young, riding behind my dad on a motorcycle, I witnessed road rage firsthand. As we approached a bridge, a car dangerously cut us off. Soon after, traffic came to a halt, and my dad, ensuring I was safely left behind on the bike, confronted the offending driver.

Imagining Someone Getting Home Safely

The book has 20 seeds, things for you to try. This image help you in envisioning SEED 9: IMAGINING SOMEONE GETTING HOME SAFELY.

Sample from the book:

Visualization can be a powerful tool in spiritual and mindfulness practices, often used to promote positive outcomes and emotional well-being. When imagining someone getting home safely in traffic, various types of visualization techniques can be employed. Here are some ideas:

Falling in Love with Driving

In the chapter Falling in Love with Driving we explore many different ways for you to rekindle your passion with driving. In the section CARING FOR VEHICLES we explore how caring for one’s vehicle enables you to create a bond with your vehicle, which I tried to capture with a person in a Zen moment of truly caring for their vehicle.

Sample from the book:

This connection with vehicles transcends the mechanics of driving. It is a bond that forms when you pour your heart into maintaining and caring for something. Each vehicle I worked on became a part of me, an extension of my spirit. The tractor I repaired one summer was not just a piece of farming equipment; it was a testament to patience and resilience. The car I nursed back to health after a breakdown was not just a means of transport; it was a companion on life’s journey, a bearer of stories and memories.
